Valentine’s Day With My Kids

I love celebrating Valentine’s Day with my kids. Although this holiday is oftentimes thought of as a “couple’s day,” I still have so much fun doting on my 3 little loves. For the last couple years, I have hosted a kids’ Valentine’s Day brunch at my house with my children and their cousins. It’s such a fun way to celebrate the season of love. We make homemade Belgian waffles with strawberry syrup, and I make each child one of these cute heart shaped Nutella sandwiches. Now that our oldest kids are 4, they get so excited when they can recognize their name on the sandwich. These great sandwich/cookie cutters with personalized messages are available on Amazon. I have had them for 4 years now, and I couldn’t be more happy with them. Do you have any cute ways you celebrate Valentine’s Day with your family? Thinking Forward to Valentine’s Day

Does anyone else have a husband that’s so hard to shop for? I can never think of anything for the guy who seems to have everything he needs. For special holidays like Valentine’s Day I like to find something for him that is personal and functional. This unique men’s watch from Jord watches was the perfect solution. The beautiful wood detail is so elegant and goes with everything. You can even engrave a special message on the back to make it a great personal gift for your significant other. It’s a perfect solution for my “hard-to-shop-for” guy!

Favorite Fall Outfit
Hi Everyone!  Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, and I thought I would share one of my favorite fall outfits that would be so cute to wear on turkey day.  This set is chic and comfortable, and most items are pretty reasonably priced (some are on sale)!  I linked the items below.   These pieces would also be great to add to a Christmas wish list.  Happy shopping everyone!

On sale! I think high waist jeans are SO comfortable.

These booties are also on sale.  I would size down by 1/2 a size.

Love this purse! The neutral color goes with everything.

How great is this bangle? It reads “she believed she could, so she did” #girlpower

MantraBand cuff bangle

Isn’t this kate spade “state of mind” pendant adorable? I’m loving the MI mitten design!

This scarf is so perfect for the fall and only $26.

BP leopard shawl

I love the dramatic sleeve on this cozy sweater.  And you can’t go wrong with this color.

Leather and Lace

When the bodysuit came out this season I loved how it looked but wasn’t so sure I could pull it off. It’s surprisingly comfortable and easy to wear! I love pairing it with a dark skirt for fall. I find the relaxed fit of a skirt helps to balance out the tightness of the bodysuit, especially for those of us who have a bit of a softer midsection. Christina’s outfit is from BCBG, and mine is from Rococo.  Throw on some cute heels, and you’re ready for a night out.

Halloween Treat

I love celebrating fall events with my children. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because my kids get so excited about it! Here’s a short tutorial on how to make this adorable little edible (and healthy) Frankenstein that I made for my oldest son. He was so excited when he saw it!

1. Gather your ingredients: You will need 3 kiwi fruit, some purple grapes, cucumber skin, banana, blueberries, and julienne carrots.

*You end up using only small amounts of some of the above fruits and veggies-I ended up bringing the rest to work to munch on the next day.

2. Peel the kiwi and slice it so that mainly the green areas are visible. Cut your grapes in half length wise, and assemble like below.

3. Place the banana and blueberries on the kiwi to make the eyes. Assemble the carrots like mine below for Frankenstein’s “scar”. Use the peels of the cucumber and the kiwi for the mouth and side details as shown below.

4. Here’s my favorite part: Accessorize! You can find some cute and inexpensive Halloween décor at places like Target or even the grocery store. I used these adorable rings and finger puppets to jazz things up a bit. My kids loved this! Try this at home, and let me know how it goes!

About Us

Hi everyone! Thank you for visiting our blog. Our names are Christina and Jennifer. We are twins, physicians, coworkers, best friends, and each other’s biggest supporters. We created this site as a visual inspiration and organization tool so that we can document our favorite things: fashion, family, food, fitness, and fun.

We come from a very culturally diverse background thanks in part to our Korean father and Dutch mother. Our parents have been a huge influence in our lives and have always taught us the importance of a strong family unit. Growing up, we, along with our two older brothers (also doctors!) have had amazing opportunities to travel to various parts of the world. We have learned to embrace adventure and excitement but have also come to realize that there’s no place like home.

As working moms, we lead pretty crazy, busy lives. Between the two of us, we have 2 husbands, 5 kids, 2 step children, and 2 dogs. Here, you will witness our attempts at staying fabulous while keeping it real. We’ll document our efforts to find a balance in life – if one really ever exists!  Thank you for joining us in our journey.  Hold on tight; it’s bound to be a wild ride.
